NOTE TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE SIGNED UP TO VOLUNTEER: We will be getting in touch with you during the first two weeks of March to discuss responsibilities and scheduling.
Thank you for your patience and for helping make the tournament a success.

​To help you choose where you would like to volunteer in the tournament, we have supplied descriptions of the tasks involved for each job.  Be sure to read each description so you can determine which area you can best serve.

even if you can't fulfill the exact hours stated.  Put your exceptions or any other conditions in the comment box.

All Festival residents can volunteer.  You DO NOT have to be a member of the Pickleball Club to volunteer.

VOLUNTEER JOB ASSIGNMENTS
ALL VOLUNTEER JOB ASSIGNMENTS CAN BE CHOSEN AT TIME OF REGISTRATION

Court Crew

‐Reports to the Ramada at 6:30 AM.
‐Helps to blow off the court each morning of the tournament.
‐Measures the nets prior to play (36” at the ends, 34” in the middle)
‐Makes sure ball tubes are full
‐Use part of parking lot area to set up net for warm up area.
‐Help set up small tents for shade across courts 1,3,5,7 & snack tent

Score Poster
‐Works 8 AM to 12:30 or 12:30 to 5.
‐As games are completed, turns in scores to the desk in the Ramada.
‐ “Poster” picks up the printout of the scores and posts them on the sheets in the kiosk.

Referee **
‐Acts as referees at various games.
‐Works with Neal Johnson/Chuck Rainwater in the Ramada to receive assignments and referee material.
‐Turns scores into the Events Desk immediately following match to keep flow of tournament progressing

Snacks/Food/Raffle
‐Helps prepare snacks/food.
‐Staff snack/food tables and replenish as necessary.
‐Helps set up table at 7:45 AM.
‐Refills water and electrolyte containers as necessary.
‐Works 7:45 AM to noon OR noon to 5.
‐Staffs Raffle Container.
‐Sells Raffle tickets.

First Aid
‐Reports to Jan Bruss.
‐Aids players and attendees with injuries.
‐Fill out incident report form.
‐Staffs First Aid Booth.
‐Works 8AM to 12:30 OR 12:30 to 5PM.

Event Desk
‐Checks in players
‐Works with Pickleballtournaments.com software
‐Maintains brackets, scores, etc.
‐Works 7:30 AM to 1PM OR 12:30 to 5PM.

** Not referee "certified" but are willing to be a referee?  
CONTACT John Woollums or Katie Fender. We need trained and NEW referees. We will be providing refresher and overall training for referees before the tournament. This is an essential part of putting on a tournament, and we want as many of you as possible to know how to referee.
