Sun City Festival Pickleball Club, Board of Directors Meeting Minutes.
September 6, 2024
The following were in attendance.
Trevor Thorne, Vice President. Mark Swygert, Secretary. Diana Ballato, Director at Large, Rotations & Court Schedules. Chris Prellwitz, Treasurer (via Zoom). Rob Dryden, Director at Large, Player Development (via Zoom). Scott Moyer, Director at Large, Events. Leila Mirza, Admin. Absent: Beth Castle, President.
Trevor Thorne called the meeting to order at 2:00 pm.
Minutes.
The meeting minutes for the Pickleball Club's Board of Directors meeting on August 2, 2024, were presented for approval. Diana Ballato made a motion to approve the minutes. Rob Dryden seconded the motion. The minutes were approved by a unanimous vote of approval.
Treasurer's Report.
Chris Prellwitz presented the Treasurer's Report. The most recent Financial Report is posted on the Club's website. Rob Dryden made a motion to approve the checks for August 2024 as written. Trevor Thorne seconded the motion. The motion was accepted by a unanimous vote of approval.

Capital Projects.
Trevor Thorne presented the Capital Project Committee Report. The Committee has two proposals for shade structures at the Sage courts. The two proposals will be submitted to the HOA Finance Committee at the Finance Committee's September 2024 meeting.
Admin Report.
The Admin Team reported that the fee structure for the Court Reserve platform will change next year. While the fee will go up, it won't be much higher than prior years.
VP Report.
Trevor Thorne presented the Vice President's Report. Phil McWilliams, the HOA Maintenance Director, committed to court resurfacing projects, installation of replacement lights at the Sage courts, and new wind screens at the Wagner courts. Mr. McWilliams did not provide dates that the projects would begin.
Rotations & Coordinators.
Diana Ballato presented the Rotation Report. The Fall schedule begins October 1. The Fall schedule will feature two morning time slots for rotations. The first morning slot begins at 8:30 am. The second morning slot begins at 10:00 am. Evening rotation play starts at 6:30 pm. All rotations are 90 minutes duration.
Player Development.
Rob Dryden presented the Player Development Report. Skills and Drills will begin after the new year.
Events.
Scott Moyer presented the Event Report. A Halloween party for the Club is planned for October 23, 2024. The party will start at 6:30 pm and will be at the Wagner courts. The Fireman's Tournament will take place on November 2, 2024. The cost of the Fireman's Tournament is $80.00 for a team of two. Registration deadline for the Fireman's Tournament is October 25, 2024. The Veterans Tournament is scheduled for November 8-10, 2024.
