January 2025
On behalf of the Board and admin team, we wish you all a very Happy New Year!
The 2025 Board has met and confirmed the following slate of officers:
A special ‘thank you’ to our outgoing board members Trevor Thorne and Mark Swygert. This is a working Board, and they have volunteered countless hours into the Club.
2024 was another busy year. Here are some highlights:
We are a growing Club of over 1,300 members, with all the complexities that come with it. We rely entirely on the contributions of members who volunteer their time and effort to participate in Club activities – and we thrive because members generously share their skills and talents with us. So, I would be remiss if I did not extend a heartfelt 'thank you' to all our 2024 volunteers, from our rotation coordinators and Skills & Drills coaches to our court cleaners and tourney and party volunteers - and so many others! We appreciate you!
I look forward to working closely with the Board to improve our Club programs and facilities and do what is best for our Club as a whole. Please be patient as we try to make “your Club” the best possible Club!
See you on the courts!

- Tannie Chow – Vice President
- Darlene Douglas – Secretary
- Diane Vierkant – Treasurer
- Rob Dryden – Director of Player Development
- Scott Moyer – Director at Large, Rotations and Court Schedules

A special ‘thank you’ to our outgoing board members Trevor Thorne and Mark Swygert. This is a working Board, and they have volunteered countless hours into the Club.
2024 was another busy year. Here are some highlights:
- Our tournaments included the Hen House, the Highlander, the In-House, the United Buckeye Firefighters, and we added the Gary Sinise Veterans tournament to end the year.
- Rotations continued to be a favorite for members, with over 1100 rotations scheduled throughout the year.
- Skills & Drills were also very popular, with over 35 sessions scheduled for all skill levels.
- In March, members voted for Selkirk as our Club ball. In 2023, the cost of Club balls was $8,273. In 2024, the cost was reduced to $2,500, for a savings of $5,773.
- Also in March, we launched our Apparel Web Store with logoed t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, tank tops, caps, etc. Click here to check it out.
- Sage courts lighting was improved, with members voting to contribute $3,500 to the HOA towards the cost of that improvement.
- The Board worked all year to bring a shade capital project to fruition at Sage. Members voted to support a one-year $15 increase and finance 60%-70% of the $73,000 project. In the end, the HOA failed to approve funding.
