A meeting of the Sun City Festival Pickleball board members was held at the Sager Center on 03/12/2020 at 3:00 pm.

New Business: Player Development Position - Ila Haas volunteered and was voted in unanimously by all board members.
In-House Tournament - Katie Fender gave an update on the tournament. March 23-26, 2020. To date there are 230 registered. 6 vendors and 1 food vendor will be there all week. Monday, March 23 will be the kickoff pizza dinner and entertainment will be provided by the band CrossRoads.
Hen House Tournament - Scheduled for March 18, 2020. To date 104 women have registered for the event.
Fireman’s Tournament - Scheduled for April 4, 2020. 3.5 players only. Round robin format. 15 teams and 1 single player registered to date. An email blast will be sent out to recruit more teams/players.
Volunteer Celebration - Scheduled for Monday, March 30 at 5:00pm. Linda Cummings is organizing the event. BBQ will be ordered and it will be a bring your own beverages event. Paddles and gift cards will be raffled off. An email blast will be sent out with an rsvp to get a count of the attendees.
Rock Work at Wagner Courts - Tom Karas met with Pulte and also got a quote for replacing the rock around the courts. Total cost is approximately $4845. Tom will follow up with Pulte and the possibility of filling out an application to the Care Fund to cover some of the cost of this project. Then members will need to vote on the expenditure.
Improvements - New fence covers were purchased and will be installed. New court roller was ordered for Sage Courts. New wind socks were purchased and installed. New squeegees will be purchased for Sage and Wagner courts. Court cleaning machine is still being considered for the courts.
