New Software Update - Brock, Katie and Dave presented to the board their findings on new software for the club. After researching several packages it was decided that the committee would move forward with the CourtReserve System. They will be configuring and testing the system and will report back their findings and do a demo at the next board meeting. The committee will also be looking into how the system could incorporate electronic payments of dues.
Summer Schedule - The summer schedule will begin May 1. It was decided by the board that with the commencement of the summer schedule all sessions will become non-rated except for Friday’s 4.5 ( Doug’s rotation) and the Sunday 4.0+ Skills and Drills. We will not return to rated rotations until a new club rating system can be implemented by the club. No new rotations will be added until the fall season.
Court Analysis - An analysis of court usage was provided by Dave Owen. The current court allocation between individual member reservations and club sponsored events is as follows: Prime Time (8am-6pm) Club sponsored events consume 27% of the weekly prime court time. Peak Time (11am-1pm) Club sponsored events consume 70% of the weekly peak court time.
Non Peak Time (8am-11am and 1pm-6pm) Club sponsored events consume 16% of the weekly non peak court time.
Beginner Lessons - Due to the success of the beginner lessons we will continue to offer them only to SCF Pickleball Club members.
ByLaws - Doug made a motion which was 2nd by Mark to establish a committee to review the ByLaws and make any necessary and pertinent changes. Committee members to be named in the future with at least 2 non-board club members.
Member Dues/Tournament Refunds - 850 members have renewed their memberships. $4970 was taken in for tournament fees of that, $1400 was refunded and $310 was donated back to the club. Mark will hold 1 more refund day at the end of March. Those members unable to return to SCF (our Candian Members) will have an opportunity in the fall to get their refunds.
Next Meeting - The next board meeting was scheduled for Thursday March 23 at 6:00 pm.
Meeting adjourned at 9:10 pm.
