Sun City Festival Pickleball Club, Board of Directors Meeting Minutes.
April 5, 2024
The following were in attendance.
Beth Castle, President. Trevor Thorne, Vice President. Mark Swygert, Secretary. Chris Prellwitz, Treasurer (via phone). Rob Dryden, Director at Large, Player Development. Diana Ballato Director at Large, Rotations & Court Schedules. Leila Mirza, admin/communications. Absent: Scott Moyer, Director at Large, Events.
Beth Castle called the meeting to order at 2:00 pm.
Minutes.
The meeting minutes for the Pickleball Club's Board of Directors meeting on March 1, 2024, were presented for approval. Rob Dryden made a motion to approve the minutes. Diana Ballato seconded the motion. The minutes were accepted by a unanimous vote of approval.
Treasurer's Report.
Chris Prellwitz presented the Treasurer's Report. The most recent Financial Report is posted on the Club's website. Rob Dryden made a motion to approve the checks written for the month of March, 2024, as written. Trevor Thorne seconded the motion. The motion was accepted by a unanimous vote of approval.

For the 2024 Hen House Tournament, 82 participants provided $2050.00 income. Subrtacting food expense of $947.31 yielded a profit of $1102.69.
For the 2024 Highlander Tournament, 63 participants provided $1575.00 income. Subtracting food expense of $594.85 yielded a profit of $980.15.
Player Development.
Rob Dryden presented the Player Development Report and noted that this is the last month for Skills and Drills.
President's Report.
Beth Castle presented the President's Report. The Club is seeking a volunteer to distribute apparel sent weekly from the vendor. The volunteering member should be a year-round resident of Sun City Festival. The Board signed the Selkirk Pro S1 Club Sponsorship Terms Proposal as agreed by the Board of Directors on March 30, 2024.
VP Report.
Trevor Thorne presented the Vice President's Report. No update regarding HOA issues as Phil McWilliams, the HOA Facilities Director, was not available to provide updated status of previously discussed matters. On March 3, 2024, an unsportsmanlike conduct incident occurred during League play. The member exhibiting the conduct received a verbal warning from the Vice President.
Rotations & Coordinators.
Diana Ballato presented the Rotation Report. The Spring schedule begins April 1 and will end on May 15. The first morning rotation will begin at 9:00 am and the second morning rotation will begin at 10:30 am. Evening rotations will begin at 6:30 pm. All rotations will be 90 minutes duration. Diana Ballato presented the Rotation Report. The Thursday evening 3.5 Rotation will likely not continue for the summer. A final decision for the Thursday evening rotation will be made when the summer schedule is finalized.
