SCF Pickleball Board Minutes
October 23, 2020
A meeting of the Sun City Festival Pickleball board members was held at the Wagner Court ramada on 10/23/2020 at 6:00 pm.
Present
Treasurer Report - $14,000 balance in club account with current membership at 841.
Elections - Email blast will be sent out recruiting volunteers for President and Treasurer. Deadline for applications and bios will be 11/20/2020. Voting will take place 11/23-11/29/2020.
Dues - 2021 dues will remain the same at $10 per person.
Expenditures - 1400 balls were purchased for club use. 2 squeegees with wheels will be purchased for $166 each. They will be placed at Sage and Wagner courts. A motion was passed and voted on to purchase a lobster machine for the Sage courts for approximately $900. At a later date another one will be purchased for the Wagner courts. Tom and Craig will each provide 8 paddles at cost to the club for members to use in intros and beginner lessons. Purchasing a court cleaning machine is being considered. Craig will gather information and pass along to board members. 2 new lock boxes will be purchased for the Sage and Wagner court equipment closets.
Ball Machine - Ila will look into forming a sub committee for establishing checkout procedures.
November/December Calendar - Track it Hub will be used to sign up for rotations starting November 1. Rotations and ladders will begin at 10:00 in November and switch to 11:00 in December. Skills and drills will be added to the calendar as needed. Lesson modules will start again in January.
