SUMMARY OF November 13, 2019 BOARD MEETING
The Board of Directors
- The Club brought in $446.50 and spent $883.45 in October. Club YTD balance is $12,463.15. Current membership is 783. Darrell reported that we have stopped collecting inter-community fees.
- Added two 2.0/2.5 rotations to the winter schedule.
- Current round of modules started this week with 95 players.
- Updates have been made to the website describing the facilities. Posting of reports to our website has also been completed.
- Proceed with purchase of emergency signage on each court, if allowed by Pulte.
- Approval of by-law amendments with suggested change to Article 5, Section D. allowing Treasurer to write checks up to $250 before requiring a second signature from either the President or Vice-President
- Laptops - authorize Brock to purchase two computers.
- Ball Machine - authorize purchase of one Lobster ball machine. Bill has a list of four people willing to coordinate.
- Accessories - authorized Bill to purchase pickleball retrieval tubes.
- Landscaping Gravel - tabled for a future meeting
- Tournament dates are March 23-27, 2020.
- Franklin will continue to be our club ball.
- Nominations will be accepted for Vice-President, Player Development and Secretary positions with elections in December.
- Craig shared that he investigated the process for repainting our court lines to avoid balls skipping when they hit the lines. He recommended the purchase of a gallon or two of Stripe Rite primer and grit paint to try on a couple courts. If it works well, we will finish the rest of the courts. The Board authorized Craig to make the purchases.
- Request for Wagner Courts on March 18th for the Hen House Tournament. There will be a sign-up and it will include all skill levels. Coordinators will be Lorraine Price and Robin Fisher. Board approved request.
