SUMMARY OF November 13, 2019 BOARD MEETING
  • The Club brought in $446.50 and spent $883.45 in October. Club YTD balance is $12,463.15. Current membership is 783. Darrell reported that we have stopped collecting inter-community fees.
  • Added two 2.0/2.5 rotations to the winter schedule.
  • Current round of modules started this week with 95 players.
  • Updates have been made to the website describing the facilities. Posting of reports to our website has also been completed.
  • Proceed with purchase of emergency signage on each court, if allowed by Pulte.
  • Approval of by-law amendments with suggested change to Article 5, Section D. allowing Treasurer to write checks up to $250 before requiring a second signature from either the President or Vice-President
  • Laptops - authorize Brock to purchase two computers.
  • Ball Machine - authorize purchase of one Lobster ball machine. Bill has a list of four people willing to coordinate.
  • Accessories - authorized Bill to purchase pickleball retrieval tubes.
  • Landscaping Gravel - tabled for a future meeting
  • Tournament dates are March 23-27, 2020.
  • Franklin will continue to be our club ball.
  • Nominations will be accepted for Vice-President, Player Development and Secretary positions with elections in December.
  • Craig shared that he investigated the process for repainting our court lines to avoid balls skipping when they hit the lines.  He recommended the purchase of a gallon or two of Stripe Rite primer and grit paint to try on a couple courts. If it works well, we will finish the rest of the courts. The Board authorized Craig to make the purchases.
  • Request for Wagner Courts on March 18th for the Hen House Tournament. There will be a sign-up and it will include all skill levels. Coordinators will be Lorraine Price and Robin Fisher. Board approved request.
