SCF Pickleball Board Minutes
November 18, 2020
A meeting of the Sun City Festival Pickleball Board members was held via Zoom on 11/18/2020 at 6:00 pm.
Present
Old Business
Minutes were accepted from the last meeting dated October 23, 2020.
New Business
Ball Machine - Bill Fischer will continue to monitor the check out and charging of the ball machines at the Wagner courts.
Court Rotations and Times - Starting Dec. 1 start times for rotations will change from 10:00 to 11:00 at Wagner and at Sage the starting times will go from 9:00 to 10:00.
IPTPA Membership - The club will be renewing the membership at a cost of $150 for 3 years.
Court Request - Dee Davison - Dee requested to reserve courts on Dec. 29, 30 & 31 for skills testing. It was decided by the board that she could have courts at Sage in the afternoons on those dates. Craig will notify her.
Elections - Elections for President and Treasurer will take place November 23-29. We have 1 candidate for President (Doug Gale) and 2 for Treasurer (Mark Comer and Stephen Sirico). Bios will go out in an email blast and voting will begin.
COVID Protocol - Craig will be the point person going forward. If a member comes forward that has tested positive and wants to remain anonymous the rotations coordinator will be notified and the rotation will be cancelled the following week. A separate email will go out to the individuals who played with this person but they will not be named. If they give approval (in writing) that we may name them then we will do so and the same protocol will be followed.
Storage Room Cleaning - Craig will look into getting a professional cleaning crew to clean out the storage room.
Annual Members Meeting - Craig will check by-laws and see what the requirements are for an annual meeting. Due to COVID a meeting would be held by Zoom.
