VOLUNTEER INFORMATION FOR THE IN-HOUSE TOURNAMENT
-To help you choose where you would like to volunteer in the tournament, we have supplied descriptions of the tasks for each role. Be sure to read each description to determine the area in which you can best serve.
Complete the signup form below even if you cannot fulfill the exact hours stated. Put your exceptions or any other conditions in the comment box. Remember, the In-House Tournament is five days long, so you can volunteer for one day, two days or all days.
All Festival residents can volunteer. You DO NOT have to be a member of the Pickleball Club to volunteer.
VOLUNTEER JOB ASSIGNMENTS
Court Crew - Setup / Tear Down Teams
Setup
‐Reports to the Ramada at 6:30 AM.
‐Helps to blow off the court each morning of the tournament.
‐Measures the nets prior to play (36” at the ends, 34” in the middle)
‐Makes sure ball tubes are full
‐Use part of parking lot area to set up net for warm up area.
‐Help set up small tents for shade across courts 1,3,5,7 & snack tent
Tear Down
‐Reports to the Ramada at 4:30 PM
‐Helps tear down tents and tables

Score Poster
‐Works 8 AM to 5 PM.
‐As games are completed, turns in scores to the desk in the Ramada.
‐ “Poster” picks up the printout of the scores and posts them on the sheets in the kiosk.

Referee **
‐Acts as referees for medal matches.
‐Works with Rob Dryden in the Ramada to receive assignments and referee material.
‐Turns scores into the Events Desk immediately following match to keep flow of tournament progressing

Court Monitors
‐Observes play on one to two courts.
‐When play is over, validates correct winners and scores of games. One member of the winning side initials score sheet.
‐Monitor immediately returns score sheet to event desk so that the available court can be assigned to the next waiting match. This keeps the tournament progressing on time.
‐Returns to assigned court(s) for the next matches.

First Aid
‐Reports to Rae Wilson.
‐Aids players and attendees with injuries.
‐Fill out incident report form.
‐Staffs First Aid Booth.
‐Works 7:30 AM to 5PM.

‐Checks in players

‐Maintains brackets, scores, etc.
‐Works 7:30 AM to 5PM.
