Brackets (Charts) showing your group are publicly available now, for this In House Tournament.  For a regular tournament the brackets are not usually available until midnight the day the event is scheduled.  For example, events scheduled for Monday (Women's Doubles and Men's Singles) should be viewable by midnight Sunday.

Here is how to access the information step by step:
Step 1:  Go to http://www.pickleballtournaments.com/cinfo.pl?tid=701
Step 2:  Click on the "Tournaments" tab at the top of the page
Step 3:  Choose "Tournaments this week"
Step 4:  Scroll down the chronological list until you see "Sun City Festival"
Step 5:  You should see a tab called "Show Events/Brackets".  Click on it.
Step 6:  Now, you should see a list of tournament events.  Click on the applicable event to see the chart showing that particular bracket.

That’s all there is to it.

FORMAT OF THE MATCHES

DOUBLE ELIMINATION
Most events will be double elimination format, with a “Top Side” and “Second Chance Side.” This means you must lose two matches before you are eliminated from play in that event. In other words, you are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games in every event you enter.

On the “Top Side” of the bracket in all matches, winners must win 2 out of 3 games to 11 points, and must win by 2 points. Each team will play one full game on each side of the net. If you split the first 2 games, in game 3 you will switch sides after the 6th point is scored by the first team. If you win the best 2 out of 3 games of that match you stay on the “Top Side” and your next match will also be the best 2 out of 3 games.

If you lose the match on the “Top Side” you will move to the “Second Chance Side.” In the “Second Chance Side” part of the bracket, all matches are played one game to 15 points with a win by 2 points.  In this match, you will switch sides after the 8th point is scored by the first team. If you keep winning on the “Second Chance Side” you have a chance to get to the medal rounds. Once you lose a match on the “Second Chance Side” you are out of that event.

ROUND ROBIN
If a bracket has 5 or fewer teams, we use a Round Robin format.  This means you will play each team (or person, if singles) once. Each game will be 1 game to 15 points with a win by 1 point. You are guaranteed 4 games, if 5 teams register.  You will switch sides after the first team scores the 8th point. The winner of the Round Robin format is the team (or person) with the most wins. If a tie-breaker is needed to determine the winner, we will look at the most overall points scored by a team.  And a further tie-breaker is determined by who won in a head-to-head competition.
