IPTPA Testing - January 2021 Dates

Dee Davison, our resident certified IPTPA rating specialist, will be conducting testing on January 28th and 29th.  Contact Dee at deedavison@cox.net for questions and to schedule your testing.  

Ready to Test?  Here is what you need to do to get an IPTPA rating:

  • Rating Application and Payment
    • Go to members.iptpa.com
    • Click Need an Account
    • Fill in your name and email address
    • Create a password
    • Click Register
  • Once in your profile
    • Click Submit Application
    • Click Player Rating
    • List Dee Davison as your Certified Rating Specialist (CRS)
    • Fill out the Application and click Submit (Be sure to select SCF as your club)
    • Submit Payment via Stripe, Venmo or Paypal 
    • IPTPA will send you a confirmation email and include Dee Davison to proceed with scheduling your testing date
 
  • Schedule your testing with Dee Davison by emailing deedavison@cox.net
  • For limited time - please try to group 3 players in same skill testing session (all 3.0 must test together, same with 3.5 or 4.0)
  • Include who will be part of your testing group
  • Yes, Dee can still hold a testing session IF we don’t have 3 people
    • Cost for an individual is $50.00
    • Cost for 2 to 3 players testing is $35.00 each
  • Who will be your ghost double for your group (someone who is club approved to test players at the skill level you will be testing - 3.0 testing group must have someone 3.0 skill rated by the club or USAPA tournament rated 3.0)?
  • Once you have scheduled your session, Dee will be your contact person for any further information or changes.
 
  • Available dates and times set aside for SCF Pickleball Club to perform IPTPA testing:​
    • Thursday, January 28th – Wagner Courts - 1 pm - 5 pm
    • ​Friday, January 29th  – Wagner Courts - 1 pm - 5 pm​
How to prepare for the IPTPA testing:

  • Shots required for each skill level (see links below)
    • 3.0 skill level - pace of shots is slow to medium pace
    • 3.5 skill level - be prepared to handle top spin and variable speeds from slow to medium pace
    • 4.0 skill level - be prepared to handle top spin, side spin, backspin and variable speeds from slow to fast
